Books of 2012

I set a Goodreads goal to read 25 books in 2012.  It was a close call, but I parked my butt on the couch on December 31st and did not let myself get up until I finished that final book.  I know a lot of us are setting our 2013 reading goals this month so I thought I'd share the books I read in 2012 and how many Goodreads stars I gave them.  I read a good mix of non-fiction, classics, popular fiction, and guilty pleasure books...hopefully you'll find some inspiration for your own reading challenges!

  1. I blogged about my 2013 books today too! I'm aiming for 30 which is double that of 2012 but I figure it'll be a lot easier with an eReader now. I'm glad to see you gave pretty good ratings to the books I'm hoping to read this year. Not going to lie, I mostly focused on one series last year (Stephanie Plum) but I definitely recommend it as pop fiction/guilty pleasure :)

  2. Ooh! I'm going to have to remember this list! Actually, I'll just find you on goodreads. I didn't quite make my 2012 goal of 40 (I think I hit 38), but this year I am determined to meet my goal! I was slightly insane and put 100 books down, but I've read two so far, so I'm on track right now.

  3. I didn't make a goal, but I'm sure I wouldn't have met it. I read more than I did when I was in school, but still not as much as I wanted. I've started The Rum Diary for my first book of 2013 and it's fairly short so I have high hopes for at least getting one under my belt soon!

  4. 25 books is awesome! I'm totally impressed. Oh, I loved Owen Meany, too. :) Jonathan Safran Foer is in my list, too - good to know you rated both of those so highly.
