Weekend Wrap Up

Before you read this post, you need to click this link and listen to Justin Timberlake's new song "Suit & Tie". I'm gonna be real with you, this song is kinda terrible.  But I'm ridiculously excited that JT is back!  Here's hoping there are plans for a tour in the not so distant future.

Alright, now that I've gotten that out there...let's move onto weekend wrap up.

Friday

After needing last week to recharge,  I was surprisingly ready to go out and have some fun this weekend.  Our friend D was in town from Texas and it was absolutely wonderful to see her!  D is unbelievably sweet and she brings a fun positive vibe to any get together.  It was really nice to see her and catch up with each other.  We hopped around to O'Connell's, Murphy's, and then eventually settled in at Light Horse.  We did some dancing, had a few chocolate cake shots, and shared a lot of laughs.

Saturday

I was up early on Saturday morning for our Junior League mid-year event at the National Press Club.  I loved learning about all the different placements options we have next year.  I'm hoping I'll be able to get a placement volunteering with children.  It's hard to believe how quickly our new member year is going by.  I've been enjoying every minute of it and I'm really looking forward to taking on a full placement next year.  After the meeting, I brunched at Old Ebbitt Grill with one of the lovely ladies in my advisor group.  We both ordered the eggs chesapeake and they were fantastic!

Saturday night we snuck in another visit with D and headed over to Murphy's.  The night got off to an interesting start since P cancelled his trip out of town and was there.  We haven't been speaking lately but we also haven't shared that with anyone else...so when I got there, they had saved me the seat directly next to him.  AWKWARD CITY.  However, it went just like every other time we've stop speaking and then bumped into each other...we start off the night ignoring each other and end the night making goo goo eyes at each other and saying how much we've missed hanging out the past couple of weeks.  Fail or win?  I honestly have no idea.

Sunday

The Patriots Crew

We spent our Sunday watching the Pats game at Murphy's.  The Pats played a FANTASTIC game and we had a lot of fun watching them and joking with each other.  After the game was over, a few of us headed downstairs to watch Rocky sing for a bit and we ran into a few of our Murphy's friends.  It was a really great night!
