Friday
It seems like everyone in the world has been sick lately. I was feeling like I was coming down with something on Friday so I opted for a quiet night in with the roomie. We watched
Hope Floats...I just love that movie! "Beginnings are scary, endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts the most" is one of my absolute favorite movie lines...it couldn't be more true.
Saturday
Saturday was an amazing day! I spent the morning getting a jump start on my
2013 resolution to get more organized. I started going through my junk drawers and found a whole trash bag worth of clutter to get rid of! Then I met up with some lovely
JLW ladies to see
Lincoln (which was fantastic...look for a full review on Wednesday) and have dinner at
Trademark. If you live in the DC area and haven't been to Trademark yet, you NEED to go as soon as possible! Their lobster mac n cheese is absolutely to die for and they make a killer old fashioned.
We celebrated my friend C's bday on Saturday night. We all met up at
Marvin and then headed over to
Tropicalia to do a little dancing. I'd never been to either place before and then were both a lot of fun. Marvin has an amazing heated roof deck where we set-up our home base and a killer DJ. Tropicalia's a little bit on the sketchy side but the DJ there was playing some awesome house music and it was a really fun place to go dancing. The crowd at Tropicalia cleared out pretty early so Rach and I popped into
Lost Society and
Dodge City to see what else was going on. It was a really fun night!
Sunday
On Sunday morning I headed to the mall and bought my gown (
see it here) for our JLW Centennial Fete. It was the third dress I tried on and I was shocked that I found something so quickly! I think it's the perfect dress for the occasion. Afterwards I came home and spent the day watching football with my roommate. It was the perfect relaxing end to the week.
I went on a huge purging/organizational binge last week too. Felt good. That dress is gorgeous.
